About Matt Suess

I am an award-winning photographer whose interest in photography began early in childhood and by the age of 12 I had my own chemical photo darkroom. My professional career started 8 years later in 1990 where I was a photojournalist for the next 17 years. I was a digital photography pioneer who helped bring digital cameras to two newspapers and was awarded the 2003 New England Press Association's Photographer of the Year Award.

In 2006 I left behind my photojournalism career to pursue a career as a full-time fine art photographer & educator and moved out west to Arizona. Since then I have acquired collectors worldwide and countless thousands of photographers have benefitted from my photo educational resources such as field and classroom workshops, online courses, photo essays, and YouTube videos.

I currently live with my fiancee and Fine Art Painter Whitney Hall and our dogs Scrappy & Osa in our home in Bozeman, Montana.
