"Survivor" - Utah

This was photographed in a gray, dried out mud-flat that had a bunch of these tiny yellow flowers in it in a remote area in Southern Utah.

I walked around for over 30 minutes under the hot desert sun looking for an interesting composition, which I found in this image.

It is amazing how some life can survive in such a dry and harsh environment.
