This was photographed in Zion National Park in Utah.
On this particular hike I started in the dark well before sunrise. By the time I got to this location the light was perfect - nice and soft.
When I returned to this location on the hike out it looked completely different being bathed in direct sunlight. In fact it looked so much different than in the beautiful morning light I almost didn't even recognize it.
