"Retired Boot" - Texas Hill Country

This boot may have been made for walking but now in retirement it is adorning a wooden fence pole in the heart of the Texas Hill Country.

There were actually numerous boots along this particular fence. I spent a while looking for the perfect boot with the perfect background and set up my 300mm f2.8 lens on my tripod when I found it for a tight shot with limited depth of field.

Careful framing and focusing allowed me to keep the entire fence and boot in perfect focus and shooting at f8 allowed me to reduce the background to a pleasing blur allowing the fence and boot to stand out even more.
