This 18-photo composite shows the entire blood moon lunar eclipse from April of 2014. It started with the moon on the far left at 10:45pm, peaked with a blood moon at 12:46am in the top center, and ended at 2:45am on the right. Photographed in North Scottsdale, Arizona.
The saguaros were photographed with a wide angle lens just before the eclipse began. What looks like a sunset is actually light pollution from Phoenix. I changed lenses and used a telephoto to continually take photos of the moon. The composite was then created in my digital darkroom.
